Be Brave, Nono!

When the clock strikes 12, all food and drink will be taken away from him... My poor boy will be starved for over 24hrs. Apparently he will be going for neutering surgery tomorrow afternoon due to recurring infection (and lots of blood lost). :((

Pls say a little prayer for him, Nono (and myself) needs some words of encouragement and faith. Let's hope everything goes well and Nono will have a speedy recovery. Be brave, Nono. We love you!

Chinese New Year Celebration

15 days of Chinese New Year (CNY) fled past.. It hasn't been much change this year; visiting of relatives and friends.. indulging in food we only get to eat during CNY.. gambling (yes we're allow to gamble during this festive period!).. AND.. collecting of red packets ($$$)!!! Hee hee.. As long as you're not married, you can shamelessly collect them from married family members/ relatives /friends no matter how old you are. ;)

On the first day of CNY...

See how packed my grandma's place was. Everyone was walking around, catching up with one another.. laughing and eating. I didn't even know where to point my camera. lol

Grandparents visiting usually lasted for a few hours.. After which is 'BLACK JACK' time! I know I sound like a compulsive gambler but I'm not okay! That's the only time where beloved cousins sit together to have some fun, just like the good old days where playing catching and hide-and-seek was our greatest pleasure. For most of them, each bet would not exceed $3. For me, NEVER more than $2. I'm stingy. lol.

Oh this was fun too - the BINGO game!

Here's my ticket. I won the grand prize together with my mom (we happened to get the same result for the final round) and so we had to SHARE the prize! :( lol lol.

My cousin as the dealer, looking all serious.. lol. All thanks to him who made this game especially fun and exciting.
Gathering with friends...
Posing with mandarin oranges! (A pair of madarin oranges are something we need to bring to the family we visit during CNY - bringing blessings and wealth to them).
Poker cards time again.
Yusheng (raw salmon mixed with shredded vegetables and a variety of sauces) is what we eat during CNY too. It symbolizes abundance, prosperity and vigor.
After pouring various ingredients and mixing them together, everyone is suppose to toss the mixture HIGH up in the air (some would stand on the chair. HA) while saying auspicious greetings.

Catching up with ex colleagues......

The person who took this pic clearly needs some basic photography lessons ..it looked much worse before editing.. -.-

BEST colleagues ever!

Finally I'm going to show off all the red packets (symbolizes blessings and wealth) I've collected this CNY.

I feel so blessed!

All my blog friends who are huge fans of Hello Kitty, I know where your eyes are staring at... I keep some of the nicer red packets.. Ask me, and I'll send one over to you.. ;) (of course without the $ inside).

This HAS to be a lucky year for me; I won $9 on the first day.. $14 plus grand prize of Bingo game on the second.. $12 from some friends last week.. $6 on mahjong 3 days ago.. AND so many red packets!

Thank you for a beautiful CNY~ :)

Photos of Nono and My School Reunion

This fellow was sleeping on my bed and guess what.. he farted! I was busily working at my desk and then... a very unpleasant stench made my nose wrinkle... I turned around, he was soundly asleep. I walked quietly to the window; half expecting to see a rubbish truck or something outside.. returned to my desk when I found nothing exceptional. The horrible pungent smell persisted.. threatening to suffocate me. Suddenly it hit me. I moved closer to Nono....and to my horror.. .he was the culprit!! I didn't mean it was a big deal he farted.. I was just..........amused... So. Animals fart in their sleep..... do humans? Just as I was wondering to myself, he woke up and gave me that, 'Yes? Did something just happened??' face. -___-

Despite his little 'disrespectful' act.. I still love this fellow to the max!

How can I not.....

with these sparkling eyes staring back at me. If 'looks could kill', I'd have died a million times.

I think I really irritate the hell out of him. Everytime he tries to take a nap and I want to take photos of him (that's the only time he won't move about), I make strange noises to keep his eyes open. Lol.

I adore taking photos of Nono.. different angles.. different body parts. Lol. My mom seriously can't stand me... apparently every pics look the same to her. Now I'm sounding like some first-time parents if I haven't already. And well, I LOVE smelling my boy! I'm sure you parents agree how nice (your) baby smells. Of course I don't mean their farts (still trying to get over the fart) but their very 'original' body odor. It's addictive.

Love this pic.. he looks like he's smiling!
Okay.. now the finale pic. LOoooooVE this one!! The sweetest pic of us ever! Finally..... .I got a kiss from my boy.... :)
And here are two of the many photos we took at my class reunion last week. The ladies looking prettier after 16 years.....

It was really great to reconnect back with old friends... friends whom I haven't met for 16 long years.. friends who shared the same classroom as me; some sitting around me.. some who made fun of me.. those fun and laughters (and scoldings from teachers) we shared. The good old school days... sigh. :) Glad to know everyone is doing well now.

This was just a third of the class. Hopefully we'll be able to locate the rest of them and get everyone together for our next gathering which is coming very soon. WoohoooO~~

Alright. I'm heading to the gym now. It's a beautiful day today.. don't stay at home, go out and get some fresh air if you can~~ Have a fantastic weekend everyone! :D

Recent Updates and Etsy Features (Vintage!)

My apology for disappearing for quite a while. I haven't been feeling well for the past week. First, the 'I-don't-feel-like-doing-anything' mood got me.. then Nono was sick... it was so bad. He peed BLOOD..... yes, fresh blood.. lots of blood. We were worried sick! Imagine waking up one morning and discovered pools of blood all over the living room.... just like a murder scene. Thankfully after a visit to the vet and taken some medicine, he made a full recovery. As soon as he got well, it was my turn; running nose, cough, body ache and a little fever. Glad I'm feeling better too. Okay, enough of the doom and gloom. Today is going to be a long post because I know..... you'd missed me terribly. :)

First of all, a latest pic of Nono to ease your worries. It's so good to see him in perfect health again.

Photos taken at my cousin's (the bridegroom) wedding last week.....

my niece. Sooooo adorable right! Smooches~

me and my favourite cousin! :)

my family (mum, brother and soon-to-be sister in law. Dad wasn't there that day). They're going to kill me for posting this. Lol.

Beautiful cousins~~

And now........................... It's Etsy Feature time!~~~ This week's theme is Vintage- Home Sweet Home. I had such a great time putting these together... like I'm doing shopping for my dream home. Hee.

Plenty of amusing things in this shop, halfpintsalvage. For instance, chalkboard made from salvaged window....

Another one that allows you to hang your keys.

Guess what is this? A cheque imprinter! I've never seen anything like this... of course I'm far from that era but still.. it's so pretty!

love their coat racks too. These are made out of stair balusters!

Nursery circus mirror from sweetlilystudio. So adorable right!

Want something cuter? Check out their Pinnochio wood hanger! I bet you'll like this. :D

Vintage transistor radio from solsticehome.

Tennis racket with cover. I've seen this one before! When I was VERY young (have to emphasize on VERY young).

Next, take a look at this beautiful clock from birdie1 which made it to Etsy front page.

Something else I like from this shop - vintage wood hanger (print included).

How about a pink wagon for your plants from baconsquarefarm. The men may not get it but this pretty wall decor has got 44 hearts in Etsy (one from me).

This one caught my eyes too. It has got 45 hearts. Well... need I say more?

Sweetest (match) boxes I've ever seen! You may even personalize them at tinkeredtreasures's, like the one below.

The following shop gave me quite a headache. I meant it in a good way. There are well over 370 items to choose from Fondue. I tell you, I love almost ALL the items! Their tissue boxes alone top my favorites chart....

and I have not even shown you their Switch Plates... Instead of using the usual boring plates for your switches, how about these? They're like beatiful paintings on the walls.

Lovely cushion covers from JolieMarche.

Vintage jar lamp from MINDASART.

A blender lamp? What else can't you make into a lamp? Creative has no limits eh.

Love this wooden step ladder from Hindsvik. This will do it for my home library in future. Hee.

Drooling over this Map desk too! It has over 110 hearts in etsy. I'm not surprise.

Saw this gorgeous photo frame from IvarsDesign, on Etsy front page just yesterday.

Something for your kitchen... Does your granny still uses this? Egg beater with wood handle from postroadvintage.

Vintage cookies/cake cutters!

Less than $50 to get NINE antique utensils. What do you say?

Want to look pretty even when you're doing housework? Put on these lovely gloves from JulieMeyer, they'll make you enjoy your chores more. *Hinting the husbands.

Lastly, allow me to throw in my lastest listings on Etsy. They may not be vintage but surely as good. ;) Again, I need to stress that these silkscreen postcards are 100% HANDMADE (with smooches) by me! *Actual products will look way better than the photos. More images can be found HERE.

Have you found something you like? :)
