Etsy Feature - Something For Your Little Ones

Its been quite a while since I last did my etsy feature. Let's just do it today! A quick check on my etsy favorites confirm that I indeed has quite a bit of cute kiddy stuffs to share. Without further ado, here's my 'Something For Your Little Ones' feature~

Flying dino in the bedroom! Get your beloved boy one of these adorable felt mobile from, PinkPerch. He'll love you more for sure.
and this for your princess?
I need this for my insomnia problem. Can they add like a hundred more sheep? :(

Candy-coated vinyl wall decals from singlestonestudios. I don't mean they're literally coated with sugar, no one loves ants crawling all over their wall but they're just so sweet!

Teething toy (available in all kinds of shapes) and rocking horse (I want one!) from littlesaplingtoys.

Oh oh oh. A pile of flowers on your baby's head. HOW CUTE!! Capture these angelic moments of your newborns with these insanely adorable props from CuteByDesign. A lovely concept store run by the very warm family (check out their store profile for more). You wouldn't want to miss Jerry's blog where he, the grandpa, shares interesting ideas and tips on how these props are made. I was pretty inspired by his passion and positive outlook on life.

Have you ever came across something sooOoo irresistibly cute that you could almost die? Okay, a little exaggerating perhaps. But see what I meant (below)? Best part is, you can ask DebisCreations18 to make these in GIANT baby sizes........ for yourself. (Erm. My birthday is COMING). :p

More cuteness from theAnecdotes. Love the teddy button detail and big contrast-colored buttons!

'Wanna see me dance?' she says. Tell me you can resist a little one in any of these costumes, I'll buy you a lollipop. Alternatively you may allow her to suffocate you with hugs and kisses by getting her one from lilyjillbowtique.

Don't you agree everything look super adorable in mini version? No doubt they will look as cute on my feet. Visit JoliBebe (even their name is so cute) for more!
Too cute for words.......... These (and a whole lot more) from cazhoffy.
Saving the most special one for last, DevonRose. Emily is not only the nicest (and coolest) mom, she sews pretty clothes for little girls and big girls. Her women line, thepayne, is close at the moment. Pls visit her blog for further updates. To top it off, Emily has the loveliest daughter/model!

Love little girls in sundresses like this one. They make them look so sweet and huggable!
This favorite piece is sold! Emily might be able to make you something similar if you ask her. :)

Devon is a doll! Since I can never get enough of seeing her and her infectious smile, I always return to their blog for more. Here are some undeniably delightful photos I 'stole' from there. :p

Isn't she a darling?
I had so much fun putting these together. If you like what I'd shared and missed some of my past features, you may find them HERE.

Thank you for all the lovely comments and names for my black roses painting. I'm naming it, 'Awaken Love'! :) Prints are available on etsy HERE. Have a sugary week.~

Latest Work!

I couldn't get the idea of black roses out of my head, so I came out with another version from my blue/purple ones. Did this in ink (pen) and shaded the background in photoshop. Yay! I got my black roses afterall. :)

Now I need help to name this piece. Anyone? A VERY helpful friend suggested, 'Blah Blah Black Rose'.... Thanks but no thanks. I'd rather keep it as, 'Dark Romance'. -___-'

Print will be available for sale soon (once I decide on the name!).

Sorry, there won't be any print for this. I tried printing it at the printing shop and the color tone came out all wrong.. :(

Life Is A Wonderland

Alice in Wonderland -- LOVE!! Another favorite film directed by Tim Burton. And it HAS to be with Johnny Depp. He'd always create the most bizarre (may I add, sexy.) character for Johnny Depp. My first love was his earlier movie, Edward Scissorhands (1990).
follow by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005)

then Sweeney Todd (2007)
and now........... Alice in Wonderland!
Am I a psycho to love these....... eccentric characters?
Love the BIG head, red queen too! And I just realise she was that lead actress in Sweeney Todd. Nice!
Watching Alice in Wonderland has given me some inspiration. In the film, Alice was brave and courageous when she encountered danger in the wonderland. She faced her fear (the huge monster bear) head on, because she assumed it was yet another recurring nightmare. She thought she would eventually wake up and everything will be back to normal again.

Wouldn't it be great if we all perceive our lives as the wonderland, and ourselves as Alice? We explore it with excitement.. we are fearless no matter what life dishes out on us, for we know we'll eventually wake up and life will resume to normal again anyway. In fact, I feel that life is indeed a dream; one full of adventures. Sometimes we have sweet dreams... other times, not so pleasant ones. BUT they will all be over when the alarm clock goes off (when our time is up on earth) and we're force to wake up... Would you want to explore your dream with excitement, with courage, lots of love and fun? Or wake up wishing you could go back to sleep, to dream that same dream all over again?

I certainly want to be Alice. :)

“The best thing about dreams is that fleeting moment, when you are between asleep and awake, when you don't know the difference between reality and fantasy, when for just that one moment you feel with your entire soul that the dream is reality, and it really happened.” --Author Unkown

Beautiful Music

Keep that faith..... cause' you'll never be alone.

The Climb - Miley Cyrus

I can almost see it.
That dream I'm dreamin
But there's a voice inside my head saying you'll never reach it.
Every step I'm taking.
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction.
My faith is shakin.
But I gotta keep tryin.
Gotta keep my head held high.

There's always gonna be another mountain.
I'm always gonna wanna make it move.
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose.
Ain't about how fast I get there.
Ain't about what's waitin on the other side.
It's the climb.

The struggles I'm facing.
The chances I'm taking.
Sometimes might knock me down but
No I'm not breaking.
I may not know it but these are the moments that
I'm gonna remember most, yeah.
I Just gotta keep going.
And I gotta be strong.
Just keep pushing on 'cause,

There's always gonna be another mountain.
I'm always gonna wanna make it move.
Always gonna be an uphill battle
But Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose.
Ain't about how fast I get there.
Ain't about what's waitin on the other side.
It's the climb.

There's always gonna be another mountain.
I'm always gonna wanna make it move.
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes you're gonna have to lose.
Ain't about how fast I get there.
Ain't about what's waitin on the other side.
It's the climb.

Keep on moving,
Keep climbing,
Keep the faith,
Baby.

It’s all about,
It’s all about the climb.
Keep your faith,
Keep your faith.

Footprints In The Sand - Leona Lewis

You walked with me, footprints in the sand
And helped me understand where I'm going
You walked with me when I was all alone
With so much I know along the way
Then I heard you say

I promise you, I'm always there
When your heart is filled with sorrow and despair

I'll carry you when you need a friend
You'll find my footprints in the sand

I see my life flash across the sky
So many times have I been so afraid
And just when I have thought I lost my way

You give me strength to carry on
That's when I heard you say
I promise you, I'm always there
When your heart is filled with sorrow and despair
And I'll carry you when you need a friend
You'll find my footprints in the sand

When I'm weary, well, I know you'll be there
And I can feel you when you say

I promise you, I'm always there
When your heart is filled with sadness and despair
I'll carry you when you need a friend
You'll find my footprints in the sand

I promise you, I'm always there
When your heart is full of sadness and despair

I'll carry you when you need a friend
You'll find my footprints in the sand

Rose Garden And...... A Little Smile

I'm not surprise at all to find molds growing on my color palette when I took it out from the cabinet. lol.

Finally I have something new to show. 'Rose Garden', I've named it.

I love roses.... only blue ones... or purplish flowers like the lavender and forget-me-not. I wish there are black roses. Someday I'm going to try to grow black roses. :)

Prints are not available for sale yet. Pls stay tuned for more info.

This evening I ran into two friends at different time. Had a little chat with both of them. It was pleasant. :)

When I got home and opened my email, I was greeted by a lovely message from this wonderful customer who bought six postcards from me weeks ago. The message goes like this,

''I just wanted to let you know that I received the postcards yesterday in the mail and they are beautiful! Thank you! I'm going to frame these and put them on my wall! What a wonderful fusion of art and music. LOVE IT!!!''

Funny how at times when you wasn't feeling your best, things like this happen; you ran into friends or friendly strangers on the street... you receive a sweet little gift when it wasn't even your birthday.... your favorite song came on the radio.... someone complimented you... and........ you smile that smile of yours. Suddenly your day doesn't seem so bad afterall.

Did someone or something make you smile today? Pass on that smile. :)

Chinese New Year Celebration

15 days of Chinese New Year (CNY) fled past.. It hasn't been much change this year; visiting of relatives and friends.. indulging in food we only get to eat during CNY.. gambling (yes we're allow to gamble during this festive period!).. AND.. collecting of red packets ($$$)!!! Hee hee.. As long as you're not married, you can shamelessly collect them from married family members/ relatives /friends no matter how old you are. ;)

On the first day of CNY...

See how packed my grandma's place was. Everyone was walking around, catching up with one another.. laughing and eating. I didn't even know where to point my camera. lol

Grandparents visiting usually lasted for a few hours.. After which is 'BLACK JACK' time! I know I sound like a compulsive gambler but I'm not okay! That's the only time where beloved cousins sit together to have some fun, just like the good old days where playing catching and hide-and-seek was our greatest pleasure. For most of them, each bet would not exceed $3. For me, NEVER more than $2. I'm stingy. lol.

Oh this was fun too - the BINGO game!

Here's my ticket. I won the grand prize together with my mom (we happened to get the same result for the final round) and so we had to SHARE the prize! :( lol lol.

My cousin as the dealer, looking all serious.. lol. All thanks to him who made this game especially fun and exciting.
Gathering with friends...
Posing with mandarin oranges! (A pair of madarin oranges are something we need to bring to the family we visit during CNY - bringing blessings and wealth to them).
Poker cards time again.
Yusheng (raw salmon mixed with shredded vegetables and a variety of sauces) is what we eat during CNY too. It symbolizes abundance, prosperity and vigor.
After pouring various ingredients and mixing them together, everyone is suppose to toss the mixture HIGH up in the air (some would stand on the chair. HA) while saying auspicious greetings.

Catching up with ex colleagues......

The person who took this pic clearly needs some basic photography lessons ..it looked much worse before editing.. -.-

BEST colleagues ever!

Finally I'm going to show off all the red packets (symbolizes blessings and wealth) I've collected this CNY.

I feel so blessed!

All my blog friends who are huge fans of Hello Kitty, I know where your eyes are staring at... I keep some of the nicer red packets.. Ask me, and I'll send one over to you.. ;) (of course without the $ inside).

This HAS to be a lucky year for me; I won $9 on the first day.. $14 plus grand prize of Bingo game on the second.. $12 from some friends last week.. $6 on mahjong 3 days ago.. AND so many red packets!

Thank you for a beautiful CNY~ :)
