Good day! How is everyone doing?
I've fallen sick again.. blocked nose.. bad throat.. Hate :( But but..... this hasn't stop me from doing the things I enjoy. Heh. First of all, I've finally mastered the beautiful piano piece, 'The Swan' by Saints Saens!! This was indeed a challenging piece for a self-taught student like me. It took me ermm.. more than three months to get it right. But it was all worth it. ^^
Here's one version of The Swan. I hope one day I'll be able to play as beautifully as him..
Besides some private time with my beloved piano, I've been caught up with a book I recently got from the library. 'Changing Your Course (The 5-step guide to getting the live you want)' is a great book I want to recommend to everyone especially those who are looking for a change in your life at this moment. All of us go through changes, big or small, at different point of our lives and this book could be of great assistance. Bob and Melinda Blanchard share their own stories about how they'd transformed their dreams into reality and step-by-step guides on how, we too, can achieve that.~ ^^
''Don't let fear keep you from following through on your dream. Stop imagining the worst. Instead, think how great you'll feel once you succeed.'' -Bob and Melinda Blanchard

It is about life, self-worth, technology, materialism, beauty, friends, family, singlehood, BGR, sex, abortion, religion and dream. Sounds interesting already? Then you ought to check out the author of this book, Christina Siew, from SINGAPORE! By the way she is only 27 this year!! I am going make her share her inspiring story with us soon...

Angelology
I'm getting really lucky lately.... I actually got this book ABSOLUTELY FREE! WHAHAHA.!! A senior publicist from Penguin Group (USA) contacted me two weeks ago. Not sure how she found me.. probably chanced upon my blog, discovered my insane obsession with ANGELS and decided I was one of the best candidates to receive this book? I ought to feel ashamed of my skepticism as I sent out my mailing address.. Haven't we been taught that there ain't no such thing as a free lunch? BUT. This is two times better than a free meal ok! :D The thick, hardcover novel weighs quite abit.. and I'm not ask to pay a single cent.. not even for the shipping bill (all the way from USA!) My angel from across the globe.. heh heh.
You won't want to know how I ripped open the padded envelope. Holding the book in my hands.. I think I'd forgot to breath. The image on the cover was.... MAGNIFICIENT! I was on cloud nine! Weeeeee~~~
Erm.. okay, I'm getting a little over excited before I even peek into the book. No, I'm not going to do it. I fear I won't be able to put the book down once I start. Two library books are sitting on my bedside cabinet now... PLUS plenty of course notes to study! No, I can't take this risk.
In the email (THANK YOU SOooo MUCH, Lindsay. You're an Angel!), it was stated that the Angels are the new VAMPIRES in the story! Another vampire saga after TWILIGHT? Angels as vampires? What is the world coming to??? I have a feeling this is going to conjure up another vampire or better, Angels mania. How exciting!
''It’s a thrilling story about a young nun coming to terms with her destiny, set to the backdrop of a covert age-old war between a secret society of scholars and the Nephilim, the evil, monstrously beautiful descendents of angels and humans. This blazing page turner is a highly original story that will transport readers to another world, full of angelic beings and biblical intrigue. Beginning in the tranquil corridors of an abbey in upstate New York, the story travels back in time deep within the mountains of Bulgaria, on to Paris during the Nazi occupation and finally to the epic landmarks of New York City, where the extraordinary climax takes place. The angels in this story are not your garden-variety cherubs, but striking, hypnotic and dangerous creatures. True to their depiction in the Book of Enoch and Paradise Lost, these creatures are immortal and deadly in their radiance. Their capacity for evil gives ANGELOLOGY the same spine-chilling allure that all good vampire novels possess, from Dracula to Twilight. The book has been optioned by Sony for Will Smith’s production company, Overbrook Entertainment.''
About the author: Danielle Trussoni’s first book, the memoir Falling Through the Earth, was selected as one of the Ten Best Books of 2006 by The New York Times Book Review. A graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, she divides her time between the United States and France.
For more information, pls visit www.danielletrussoni.com/ and www.angelologist.com/.
According to Lindsay, a recent Gallup poll showed that 76% of Americans believe in angels. Is that true????? Wow. Hello all Angels lovers~~

See the raw, jagged edge (pages)? Nice right!

Treasure Read and University Of Metaphysical Sciences
Tah-dahhhh~~ My lastest treasure read has to be this book called, 'Life Lessons for Mastering the Law of Attraction', from the creators of Chicken Soup for the Soul (Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen). I'm sure many of you have heard about the Law of Attraction, specially so if you've read/ watch 'The Secret'. Foreign to this 'law'? That's my point, 'Life Lessons for Mastering the Law of Attraction' will be extremely beneficial for any beginner who wish to learn about this law and how to apply it to their lives. With short story on every chapter, this book is delightful to read and very easy to digest. :) You may browse through the first few chapters of the book here.
I can't emphasize on how awesome this book is.. If I'm a millioniare, I would buy a hundred copies and distribute them to everyone I know... this is how much I love the book and hope everyone would benefit from it. Now I have a little brilliant idea; this year I'm going to buy books for my friends for their birthday! Yes, no more jewelry, clothes, food, cash or car (as if. lol.).... just books. As Abraham Lincoln put it, ''The things I want to know are in books; my best friend is the man who'll get me a book I ain't read.''. I know.. I'm so thoughtful right...heh. For more of my treasure reads, check out my sidebar.
Yesterday I had a deep conversation with Adele (apparently we always share our ideas about life, human behavior, our goals, fantasies... anything and everything! Ha. Hanging out with her is always so nourishing. Anyway fast forward.. I was being introduced the University Of Metaphysical Sciences. As I browsed through the website, I had this profound knowingness.. something was telling me that this is the path for me... Metaphysic! I've always been interested in the study of life - life after death, the spirits, Angels, fairies, vampires, UFO... in other word, the 'unknown'. I also adore Tarot/ Angel readings, astrology, spiritual healing... these are what some people define as 'strange' interests (whatever!). It didn't occur to me that I can actually study ALL of these.. in one, FULL PACKAGE! For instance,
-Dreams,
historical aspects of dreaming and how they were used in ancient practices.. brain states for dreaming, techniques for dream recall and interpretation.
-Reincarnation,
past/future/simultaneous lifetime explorations. Receiving information about our past incarnations, as well as our future..
-Connecting With Angels,
Experience our Angels.. guidance on how to connect with them and hear their messages. :D :D
-Phenomena,
A discussion of phenomena, its history, its effect on mankind, and its place in religious thought - ghosts and hauntings, coincidental experiences, synchronicity etc.
-Hypnosis,
Hypnosis techniques for self hypnosis and the hypnosis of others. How to induce age regression, past life regression, triggering unconscious memories etc..
-Shadow Work,
Accepting the whole self, working with shadow. How to find forgiveness and acceptance of the imperfect self; exploring the big picture, understanding suffering.
Overview of World Religions, Colors & Symbols, Astrology Basics, Crystals & Gemstones and MANY more can be found here.
I don't know howstrange these sound to you but I'm overwhelmed with excitement! I can hear myself going 'ohhh.... wooooww....' scrolling down the list. My heart is screaming, 'YES YES, this is for me!!!' Since this is an online school, it enables us to study at our own pace (within 5 years), wherever we are. Now the most important question...................................................... where to find the money to study this course is still a big ? But I know for sure, I can count on my Angel on this... ;)

This Is Not The Life I Ordered
Did the title catch your attention? It did to me. Which is why I've read the book, love it, and thought I should share it with everyone.
''This is not the life I ordered (50 ways to keep your head above water when life keeps dragging you down)'' is written by four ordinary women, sharing with us their extraordinary life challenges. Together they have a history of six marriages, ten children, two miscarriages, failed adoption and widowhood. They have built companies and lost companies. One of them was even shot and left for dead on a tarmac in South America!

If you do not like books filled with words, you got to like this. With comics and a great deal of inspiring quotes on every few pages, you'll not have any trouble following through. I think this book is a must-read for all women and the men who love them. So, I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars! Below are some of the quotes from this book. Visit their official website, for more juicy bits!
''Find out what you don't want to know about yourself, what you're afraid of, and then face it head on.'' -Linda Evans.
''Dreams usually don't come about in the way you first visualize them, so don't expect them to. Be open to new opportunities and ideas. Reality is too complicated, and surprise is half the fun!'' -Dr Ivan Scheier.
''When you get the blues - don't look forward; look backward. Looking backward reminds you many dreams have actually come true in your life, while looking forward only reminds you of the obstacles you face.'' -Dr Ivan Scheier.
''If you have made serious mistakes, there is always another chance for you. What we call failure is not the falling down, but the staying down.'' -Mary Pickford.
And this is my favorite, ''Well-behaved women rarely make history.'' -Anita Borg.

Dreams. They Do Come True
The book I've been caught up in after the completion of my Twilight saga, is what I'm about to recommend. All thanks to my best friend who graciously loaned me this book even before she read it herself. 'Hot Chocolate for the Mystical Lover: 101 true stories of soulmates brought together by Divine Intervention' is a must-have for every romance book lovers.

For the benefit of those who are eager to browse through the book, I'd pick one of my favorite stories (summarised) to share with you.
A Dream Of Love (by Phyllis W. Curott)
There is nothing more divinely magical than a dream of love that comes true. Several years ago, I decided I was ready to have real love in my life.
I asked for the love that was right for me, that would make me happy and fulfilled. You learn quickly to be careful what you ask for, because you may well get it, and you also learn to trust the universe to bring what's best for you. I also asked the Goddess to give me a sign so I'd recognise him.
Months went by, and no one appeared. But I didn't give up hope. I decided to stop dating, to make room for the right person.
Then one night, the Goddess sent me my sign. I had a dream so vivd that I felt as if I was awake. I was standing in the middle of huge puffy white clouds filled with light. Suddenly, a man stepped out of the cloud in front of me. I couldn't see his face because he was lit from behind, but he was wearing a black leather jacket and black pants and had dark hair. He puts his hand out to me and a motorcycle appeared next to him, black and full of shining chrome. I found myself climbing onto the back of the bike and he was seated in front of me. He gunned the engines and we took off into the light, surrounded by the roar of engine and wonderful laughter.
I woke up with a start - the phone was ringing. I picked it up, still half asleep. It was my best friend, Mitchell, who immediately began urging me to go out with another friend of his - Bruce Fields.
''I was telling him all about you last night and he really wants to meet you. He's one of New York's top photographers, he's got a house on the ocean in the Hamptons, he's got three fabulous stereos...''- at which point I cut him off.
''No, Mitchell, I've sworn off men,'' I said, yawning. But Mitchell was determined. ''He's very good looking. And he rides a Harley.''
''What?'' I exclaimed, now wide awake.
''It's a motorcycle,'' he replied.
''I know it's motorcycle. What color is it?'' I asked, holding my breath.
''It's black, with a lot of chrome.''
''I'll meet him,'' I laughed.
A few nights later, I did. He was dark haired, handsome, and had a wonderful sense of humor. But best of all, he was dressed in a black T-shirt and jeans, and he tossed on a black leather jacket as we left his Soho studio to checkout some art galleries.
Our second date was on that Harley. And it was parked in the backyard of our country house when we were married a few years later.

Twilight Addiction
I know, I have not been blogging much lately... and I know the Chinese New Year festival that we are celebrating over here is still not a good excuse. Alright, I admit, I have been so hooked to Stephenie Meyer's Twilight novel lately that I couldn't concentrate on anything else. (In fact, I have to hide the book under my blanket now just so I could keep myself focus on writing this post).
I caught the movie last month and fell hopelessly in love with it. Now I'm even more in love with the book. Already 2/3 into the book and looking forward to the 2nd, I'm more than satisfy to know there is a 3rd, 4th and 5th series that follow. Yay! :D
If you have not watch the movie and still considering whether to, I have to remind you that this is a love story. Don't expect lots of action scenes or you will be disappointed. Those who like this movie (I would say, mostly ladies) will go crazy over it and those who doesn't will hate it. I have a friend who, after watching commented that it is better to watch Tom & Jerry than to watch those vampires flying around. Lol.

If you've watched the movie and like it, you HAVE to get the book!!! Ok, enough said... my concentration is running low. I can feel the book waving at me right under the blanket now. Please excuse me... Heh. Bye!

Lazy Sunday
What are you doing on a Sunday? Lazing around at home? I prefer to relax at home on a Sunday.. spending time with my family, checking the emails or reading a good book.
I'm currently reading this book 'Angel Inspiration'. My third book by Diana Cooper! If you've read/ watched 'The Secret' before, I'm sure you'll be able to relate to this book 'A Little Light On The Spiritual Law' , also by Diana Cooper. In fact, I prefer her style than 'The Secret'. With stories and logics explained, I find it alot easier to understand. Just personal preference.

The first book that changed my life was also a book by Diana Cooper, 'Angel Answers'. That was when I began to fall in love with Angels and all books by Diana Cooper. Thank you Adele and Sylvia for sharing these great books with me! :)
Though I come from a Buddhist family, I firmly believe that all religions are the same. Guess I shall not go into that. Haha. But honestly, I do believe that Angels exist!!
